Important Announcements

Hi,
I just thought it would be a nice feature to be able to have an important announcement mod of some sort that could send a mail, or PM every time a mod has been updated in the thread. At the moment, my link to vbulletin.org is a link that includes all the threads I've posted in and I find myself spending a lot of time looking at the updated threads when there is no info that is relevant to me. I'm a site owner and I employ a developer so I don't know much about all the talk that goes on so it would save a lot of time if there was some kind of Important Update button that could be clicked by the coder, or even some kind of Important Announcement button for a work around of some error etc that could be clicked by the poster and then I would be notified of these as they happen so would only have to ever look at the posts that are relevant

Not sure if this could be used in any other forums besides the likes of vbulletin.org, perhaps it could.
