Placing "Most Played Games" panel on non-arcade pages. · **Released**: 11-28-2006

I very rarely post because, although I'm not a coder, I usually figure these things out for myself but, I must admit, hacking ibProArcade is utterly confusing; the Template -> Arcade only references a couple of variables and I have no idea how to edit those variables.

I wanted to strip out whatever code is producing the "Most Played Games" table and paste it into other vbulletin pages/templates to encourage my users to get involved in the arcade.

Before posting this, I have searched through the various ibProArcade and, although I've come across posts by people facing the same brick wall, I haven't found any answers.

One curious thing I noticed is that one of the main pages is encrypted - that confuses me, I thought it was a free mod, what needs to be protected? If MrZeroPage feels the need to protect his work, fair enough, but if the inner workings are going to be hidden, surely it would make sense to at least give us the code necessary to place these "Most Popular Games", "Best Player" etc panels throughout the rest of our sites, promoting the overall concept of forum arcades.

I would be very interested to hear opinions on this, in particular from MrZeroPage.

I looked through all the php files,,,I didn't see anyone of them encrypted..

The only one I know that encrypts his arcade php files is Cyber and his versions are not for vb..

I have added,,Arcade Champ,,name with how many high scores and most played game plus a few other stats to the forum Statistics..

Hi Stangger, great site, I signed up and played quite a few games of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" - I didn't win a million, didn't even beat the high score!

I was searching around in the skins because, for some reason, ibproarcade doesn't follow the standard of making everything editable via the Style Manager - there's only a really short template in there (Arcade) containing an $arcadeheader and an $maincontent variable but I don't know how to access/edit them.

It's a pity, because ibProArcade is otherwise such a great mod, it's a pity MrZeroPage didn't go the final mile and produce inserts that would promote arcades throughout the rest of their forums.

Anyway, back to your site; I see that you've achieved exactly what I'm aiming for i.e. panels containing arcade info on non-arcade pages of your forum. I'd really appreciate it if you could share with us how you did it. Was it by using code from the really long arcade.php file? I tried inserting some code from that into other forum pages but it didn't work, it obviously needs some kind of wrapper around it - as I've said, I'm not a coder but I'm really trying to figure this out.

All that index html is,, if you want to donate..You can delete it and the arcade will still work...

To get the stats working on the home page,,just have to run a few query's..
Haven't tried it on any other site pages yet..

I made a add-on that shows,,game count,,newest game and random game on forum home..
