Mine has been Slackware since I originally started playing with linux in 98. But I just recently installed Fedora Core 5 on my old Inspiron 8100 and i'm very impressed

I tried Ubuntu and quickly went searching for another alternative.

Vector Linux.. If you have an ancient piece of machinery, it'll run like a champ.

I also use Smoothwall for my firewall.

Never played with it - just checked it out - looks like it's based off of Slack

I thought Ubuntu was great. But maybe it's still in its baby stage. So I'll give it a chance later.

I think CentOS is good.
