vBShout, vBAdvanced compatibility
Hi all,
I've nearly finished setting up my vBulletin 3.6.2, used to have 3.5.4, and now I come to finally install a portal & shoutbox on there I'm left wondering whether anyone has found either of the two products vBShout & vBAdvanced incompatible with vB 3.6.2..? I have tried looking around for any threads/posts indicating that either yes or no said products work with vB 3.6.2. The reason I'm asking this question is because I've already reinstalled vBulletin 3 times due to some problems and stuff... (1 = 3.5.4, 2 = 3.6.1, 3 = 3.6.2 - didn't realise I could simply upgrade! Duh! Seriously dumbass stuff!) Anyway, I really don't feel like buggering up anything, and after the last week I've developed a sore head from banging it on the wall, and pc monitor! LOL I suppose I could just go ahead an try installing, but isn't this just going to make vB moan at me about version numbers??? Thanks in advance ----------------------------------------------------------- Sorry! Please excuse this edit, I'm only writing this so other empty heads like me can find a quick answer!... It seems the answer to my vBAdvanced question is already answered in the 'readme_vba_cmps.html' - that yes, it appears it is compatible with vB 3.6.2. The reason this answer was not realised (at least for me, and possibly for others) is that nothing is mentioned about vB 3.6.x until the very end of the readme document, under the section titled Upgrading from vBulletin v3.0+ or 3.5+ - and then it is only implied that this product can be integrated with vB 3.6.x (ie. 3.5+) |

CMPS 2.2 (i.e. vbadvanced) is the 3.6 version.
I don't think there is a vbshout for 3.6 |

The 3.5 vBShout is compatable with the 3.6
Yet there is really no support for it. But it should work like a charm |

Thanks guys... you ARE stars!
I'd actually found the answer just before I came back to check the thread... I bothered myself to read past the FAQs in the readme file with the vBA zip.! Note to self: read whole of accompanying documents! -- thanks again, -- Step |
