not sure if this is possible..I am in need of some sort of script, which will strip ONLY the text from a LAST post in a given forum section. And display it within a iframe or just within a table on the front page. I have been thinking about how to do it all day but I am just not sure how I would strip the text from the last post.

Also when I say last post, I mean this thing must be dynamic and always show the body of the last post in that given forum on the "forumhome".

Don't think that way. Don't think about how you can take text from a post but how does the text display on the post in the first place.
The text for the posts is stored in the database, there's a query that calls the database and places the text on the posts.

You'll need to do some research and figure out how that happens.

so I have to find out how to call upon the mysql as the template does? and make it pull up the latest post for that section?

I have no idea how I would even do that
