I'm looking for a mod/hack/feature that will automatically DELETE a new account if the email is returned as an invalid or non-existent address.

Anyone?

That's a very "dangerous" thing to do, e-mails can bounce for many reasons, and bounce messages can be spoofed, allowing someone to delete accounts just by knowing the e-mail address.

I see your point. I'm just trying to combat a recent problem on my forum. As a temporary fix I have just made it so that "Users awaiting email confirmation" essentially can't do anything at all (except read permission errors) LOL.
