Is there a way to keep unregistered users out of viewing the details of a thread i.e. only the title thread but not the replies, but at the same time allowing the google bot to search and index the data deeper into the posting?

I often see the google bot being stopped at the level of the first thread because I don't let unregistered users go any further. I wish to maintain that permission structure but would love it if I could make an excuse for certain defined bots?

Has anyone played with this idea?
