I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem. We have these people that join our forums a couple times a week and spams advertisements for cell phones. I'm pretty sure they're manually registering but I'm not sure. They usually only spam a message or two and then leave.
I'm running 3.6.0 btw and I added a bunch of fonts to the captcha. Anyone else have the same kind of stuff? I googled one of the phone numbers they left and found a lot of spam with the same number: http://www.google.com/search?q=447023051282 Anyway I was just mainly wondering if they're doing this manually or not. |

Hi keithsl,
Since we upgraded to 3.6 the improved Captcha system has stopped the spam bots so far. I have only been hit once this month, but they were actually a human spammer. :cross-eyed: You could also add this hack if you think the bots are getting by your Captcha system. I thought the only thing improved for the CAPTCHA between 3.6.0 and 3.6.1 was enabled the CAPTCHA for guest searches.
