Does This Work on 3.5.5?

Hello,

I just uploaded the xml file successfully. I tried going to the following files as instructed:

3) In forumdisplay, showthread, standard_error find:
$headinclude
Add before that:
<base href="$vboptions[bburl]/" />

But when I try to look for $headinclude, I could not find it in any of the three files mentioned.

Also, it is said that:

Note: If you run your vB on a directory from a subdomain or root ex: http:///www.yoursite.com/forum or http://subdomain.site.com/forum you will need to open up the .htacess file and change Rewrite Base / to Rewrite Base /yourdir

How do I edit the .htacess file?
