Forum Links not redirect

How would I go about making forum links give a direct link? I have a link to an external site under one of my categories. Right now when I roll-over the link with my mouse it shows something like this vewgle.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1234 and when you click it, it redirects you to the correct page. I want a direct link
