It would be nice to have a blinking icon (or somthing else) that would flash and get the attention of the user so he can easily idenify any posts he or she has not seen/read. It would catch the users eye so they don't miss the post.

im not sure it'd be possible at the postbit level.

But on the showthread level it would be rather easy to implement i beleive.
