Two sets of forums changed by a dropdown menu
Is there a hack/modification to do this ?
I want to create a set of fourms like this : Presales Support Product X Product YPremium Support Product X Product YAnd then another set like this: Preventas Suporte Producto X Producto YSoporte Premium Producto X Producto YAs you may realize, they are the same forums, just the first set is in english and the second set in spanish. The idea is to have a bilingual community. A simple solution would be to just get two licenses and install on english.mydomain.com and espanol.mydomain.com. Paying a second license is not a problem, but I want people to share the same login/password. Other solution could be simple create all the forums with a root like "English" and other "Spanish" and hang all the forums there. The problem is which I put first !? I want to people say first, "I want the english community" or "I want the spanish community", then show them the corresponding set of forums. Once you are on the forums a dropdown menu would appear to switch you to the other language community in case you want. So, the idea is to have a dual or bilingual community, but share the same instalation and authentication of vBulletin. Which approach would you prefer ? Any recommendation ? |
