Ad placement would bring vBulletin.org to a more commercial level, which I don't believe they are looking to move towards at this time. While it would be great to see those offering vBulletin related services in a new light, it could potentially be a target for abuse.

We are discussion some sort of implementation of a commercial directory that will be completely seperate from the forums. We wont be displaying ads across the site....

I didn't mean ads across the site, I meant a directory, but with visibility on the site like "check out a sponsored directory"

OK, basically something that Wayne Luke talked about in the December post...
