Please help me to get started!!!!

I know there may not have existing mod that suit my need...
therefore I would like some one can help me to start coding myself..
The first thing I need is to show some values in the postbit that return from SQL statements.

Then I need to know how I can increase some values in database when a member is posting or replying.

I need to start coding with this 2 things first, could anyone please help me..............

first of all, I need to display a simple statistics in every post about reputation given to that post.
therefore I need to write my own SQL to extract data from reputation table.
Second, I would like member can increase reputation point when they start thread or reply to thread, not only from being rate.
