If you are still using ecDownloads 4.1: it contains two high level security holes, that's the reason why the thread of it is taken down on vB.org.

Upgrade to DownloadsII 5.0.2, a 'forked edition'. It fixes the two security holes and contains a lot of bugfixes. You can upgrade easily without any problems
