[ibProArcade] Legal Issue
Hello,
I'm sorry to post in the lounge but as I'm a new member I was not authorized to post in the IbProArcade. I develop flash games and I've heard that some of my games (the trailer parking game) have been decompiled, made ibProArcade compatible and added in the list of ibProArcade. But the problem is that nobody asked me my opinion about this and websites use my game and make money with it. Who is managing the legal issue for this module and what is the policy? Thanks |

The games that are distributed as part of the Arcade package have been made available to the creators of the arcades with the knowledge that they are going to be distributed as part of the package.
Any other games used in arcades have been converted by a wide group of individuals and are not part of the basic package. While we do not recommend people installing games without first checking with the copyright holder if they can be used (unless expressed permission is included in the game package) this is not something that we can control as it is down to the individuals to check that the appropraite permissions are obtained for any games used on their sites. If you think that any of your files are redistributed on our site without permission, then please post the url to the post containing that file. |

You can also go to IbProArcade and ask them to remove it..........I don't think they make money off of any certain game either.......they usually allow so many download's at the official site and if you donate to the site, they increase the amount of download's you can have........I have been to many of the vbulletin compliant arcade site's, they all seem to have the same donation program, as well as removing game's from the site if the owner of the software asks......

ibProArcade comes along with 7 basic games which are allowed to be distributed.
All other games around are converted by some fans and users of the Arcade. We don't have any influence on usage of those games. Look on www.ibparcade.com as an example - this is a site converting and spreading adapted games. ibProArcade is just a platform running flashgames in vBulletin, nothing more. If you look inside ibProArcade, you'll even find that: Quote:
