$show['threadicons'] not in options?

I assume this is an "image" for a post... but I looked at the vB options, and searched the source for "threadicons"... no such luck!

where can this setting be altered?

AdminCP => Forums & Moderators => Forum Manager => Edit Forum => Allow Post Icons
