Login.php problem
Hi i have some unusual errors on my forum, when logging out i get this message (same applies to all registered members) "An error occurred while attempting to log you out. Click here to log out."
So i "click here" and it logs me out fine. Also i believe this problem is related to the invalid username/password notification. Whenever i type a wrong username or password i get this typical message - Code:
You have entered an invalid username or password. Please press the back button, enter the correct details and try again. Don't forget that the password is case sensitive. Forgotten your password? Click here! You have used 0 out of 5 login attempts. After all 5 have been used, you will be unable to login for 15 minutes. NOT FOUND Code:
The requested URL /login.php was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Thanks |

What vB version are you running and what vB version was the style you're currently running designed for?

Some reasons for this could be:
- Style (test by creating a new style with no parent set, then see if you still have the problem using this style) - Language, are you using a language pack, or have translate some of the involved phrases. - Board url setting in your vB Options. |

if your login.php script exists..
most likely, the custom style has hardcoded values |

well i did find out it was the skin, i now put up a skin actually compatible with a 3.5.4 and i can actually log out fine now, but im still having this weird login.php error when i request to restet my password, although i am now going to try some of the suggestions noted down above.
Ill keep you updated. |

Yeah somewhere between 3.5.2 and 3.5.4 the Session handling changed, so the logout variable didn't provide the correct hash -- and therefore wouldn't be able to log you out.
