Issues with the "new posts" "no new posts" on forum index...

Alright this will be difficult to explain but I will try.

Lets say I have marked the whole board read. Then one new reply is posted in a thread within a forum. I click the link that takes me directly to the new post from the index, i DONT go first to the forum it is posted in then to the thread. I read the reply and go back to the forum index. No new posts have been made in the forum i was just in, and yet it still shows the icon that appears when there are new posts. The new post icon ONLY goes away if i enter the forum. It doesnt go away if i go straight to the new post. And this is VERY irritating. So if anyone has ideas to fix this please tell me.

yeah i have a similar problem, it doesnt like flash next to the forum if there is a new post

What thread marking option have you got set ?

ACP > vBulletin Options > General Settings > Thread/Forum Read Marking Type
