When there are no new messages the text goes away.

It's a good idea for announcement forums since everyone knows that nobody ever checks those. At least people will turn their heads now. Nice work!

i think the hack is good, though i wouldn't be tempted to register if i had that floating around everywhere. i'd have to change the text to something more inviting
