ibproarcade 2.5.6 - too many connections

My server started crashing now and my admin mailbox is being spammed with vbulletin errors saying "Too many connections" on mySQL when trying to access the newscore section of arcade.php.

I was getting 50 mails just about one user trying to access newscore within 1 minute.

Could there be a bug somewhere that causes a browser to reload this page indefinatly?

Also, when disqualifieing someone from a tournament, the redirect page loops over and over and I have to close the window to abort it.

Anyone experienced something similar?
