Editting a PSD
I want to edit a PSD file from a skin but can't seem to save it as individual gif images like it has in the upload/images/misc folder. How do I save the PSD so that it saves the different buttons and logo to separate images? Thanks.

i think you have to copy that layer into a new file then save it.....i'm not sure if theres an easier way but thats how i've done it.

Yeah, I had the logo saved as a gif, but the dimensions were all screwed up. I thought there was a way to say the whole PSD into files all at once.
Man, I was hoping for some help here lol. Is there a good tutorial on how to do this? For some reason I just can't figure it out. I editted all the layers in the PSD, but now I need to save them to gifs to upload them to my board. Do I save each layer separately? If so, how do I take, for example, the "Home button" layer and make it so I can save it as a gif that will just have the Home button image? |

If you wish to save the viewed layers as gif, go to "File/Save for Web". Here you have the option to save it to gif format, and the various attributes for a gif. The psd's given from vBulletin have several different buttons/stats, in one psd file. You can turn on/off the layers to save the different types of buttons. I hope this helped... I'm not entirely sure of your question... guessing mostly |
