Your problem is most likely you forgot to set permissions on the cache directory...

Code:

* /vbulletin_root/cache....................(Cache directory for the News grabber)
        ## ############################################################
        ## SET CACHE DIRECTORY PERMISSIONS TO drwxr-xr-x (chmod 777) ##
        ###############################################################

Delete any files that are in that directory and they will be updated.

i decided to put it back to the old way. i thought it wouldnt be right for a clan page. all i realy want is the main news posting bit so it appears on the main non-vb page. a bit like news pro.
