Please Help! Forum Home refuses to use the default style I've chosen
My friends vb forums website has been set to the default vb3.0 blue style ever since he upgraded to vb3.5. I created a new style for him only to find that after we changed over to the new style the forums home page remains vb 3 blue. In fact, NONE of the non-forum pages on his site will display the new style.
I have looked in the following areas for any possible way to tell vbull that , yes, I would like the entire website to use the default style I have chosen, and NO, I do not enjoy having 1/2 of the pages, including the forum home page, display in a completely different style than all the forums. It looks utterly rediculous! The name of the new style is "mdIV" and is the style currently chosen in the admin areas listed below. vbulletin options/style & language settings/default style = "mdIV" vbulletin options/style & language settings/general settings/ no place to specify vbulletin options/style & language settings/forums home page options/ no place to specify (!?) styles and templates/style manager/no place to specify forum manager/edit forum/style options/ every forum has been individually set to "mdIV" (naturally, none of the non-forum pages within vbulletin, including the forum home page, are listed here) Can someone PLEASE tell me how to specify the default style for the forum home page and the other non-forum vbulleting generated pages? And just out of curiosty, does ANYONE actually prefer to have their forum home page NOT match the style their actual forums? I am trying to comprehend the logic behind having ONLY the forums be affected by changes to the default style, which ENSURES that as soon as you attempt to make a style change, your entire website will be a complete mess. |

It depends on how the home page and other pages are generated and how the style is called.
