What's your preference on design layout?

What's your preference 1 or 2 column layout? Why?

Would you prefer a liquid* or fixed** layout? Why?

* liquid - width size in percentage eg. 100%
** fixed - width size in pixels eg. 800px

Liquid everytime. I despise fixed width, leaves too much wasted space.

Liquid, fixed look right only on one resolution.
As for layout - depends on the site - if done appropriately for the site - doesn't matter.

I like both. But if I had to choose, I would choose a fixed-width layout.

• If done right it renders faster (perception)
• Visually it's the closest thing to print eg. I want the view to look identical to print.
• Everyone will see the same layout regardless of resolution (eg. placement of objects, etc) ..
