No support by the author.

I installed vRewrite on a forum and everything works fine except for the default images in the templates don't show up. I read in other threads that there was a fix but no fix was provided. What can I do to fix this?

Thanks.

Make sure you applied all the template changes in install.html. Sounds like you forgot one.
