I recently installed the vBadvanced, but the problem is both vB and vBadvanced use an index.php file and I want both to be in my root directory. I am trying to figure out how to do both, but I am unsure. What is the best way to approach this to where both index files are in my public_html folder? I know I have to change one of the filenames, but if I change the vb index.php filename, I don't know where to reflect it so that it always goes to that index name instead of the default index.php.
Confused? So am I. |

Change the standard vbulletin index.php to something else, there is a setting in the acp to tell vb what it's called.

Ok, thank you.. my next problem is... http://www.forumfatale.com/ - the code is right from what I saw in the script config. This is a vbadvanced problem. All I did was remove the "/forums" from the path and now it is doing this.

Sorry, I don't use VBA - sounds like something you would ask in their forums.

You can just rename vBA's index.php to cmps_index.php, as I recall that used to be the default, I guess they must've change it -- but it'll work just fine being named cmps_index.php.
As for the error on your site, be sure you're using the full path to your file. My path is: "C:\Inet\sitename.net\httpdocs\forum" -- but I'm on a Windows server, so unless you are as well, it'd most likely be something like "blabla/hosting/public_html/forum" |

Ok, next problem: I have another admin, and the other admin is only seeing four categories in the admin cp... what is going on? Do I need to do something?
But, it won't be /forum because it is all in my root. It isn't in a forum directory. |

So then it'd just be "blabla/hosting/public_html".
The categories might be something you need specific Admin Permission to view, I think Scheduled Tasks is one thing that you need to be allowed to view. Try going to Users -> Type in their Username -> Admin Permissions. |

I fixed the admin problem... but the index problem is still there. I used the regular path, but it still isn't working.
