I have edited the newthread template to contain some extra dropdown boxes.
When the user submits the new thread i want to retrieve those fields. Something like $_POST['cat']. But where would i try to retrieve that info? newthread_complete? I tried it and when i make a new thread it just comes to a blank pag

anybody can help me out?

Unless I am mistaken, there is a modification on the site that has extra posting options like drop menus. I would take a look at it and see how they did it.
