I would like to be able to ban a user or users from a specific forum id ie f=5 for example and not other forums, how can I do this this?
Would it be a hack on this site ? TIA |

you can use access masks to do this.
go to search for users > enter part of the username > from the drop down select access masks, then set the permission to NO for the forum you don't want them to have access to. |

No problem. It's one of those functions that you never really know about until you need to use it.

Thanks again. Just looking at the settings for mods & smods can they have this setting too or is it just for admins?

It's just an option for admins as it is all done through the ACP
