On a site I am on we have a detailed list of System Specs for out computers. It is basically a form in the UserCP that people fill out and we can see what components they are using and it is displayed underneath their signature.

Some people are asking if they can search user's system specs using the vB search function. I'm wondering if this is at all possible or is ther a mod/hack already for this

Which hack is it? If it uses profile fields, then yes, as that's configured in the AdminCP per field.
