How to install skins/templates?
I am totally new to all this vBulletin stuff. I downloaded a skin/template for my forum, but of course like 99% of the time I obviously installed it wrong. How do I install a skin/theme/template??
Thanks in advance! |

you need to import the xml file that comes with the .zip file. You can do that by going to:
Styles --> Download/Upload Skins. Look there for the browse button and upload the xml file. Once you do that you will need to upload the image files to your host. Put them on the images directory. |

ohh the images directory... maybe that was the problem, let me try that.. the import part is no prob.
Hmm... that did not work either. Okay, I guess I am not sure WHAT exaclty I am supposed to upload to the images directory. For example, I am trying a different skin and having the same problem. It's a skin I downloaded from this site FancyBlue (to test with). So, like I said, I must be uploading it completely wrong then?? upload folder 'fancy' to '/blah/forum/images'??? I have seen several skins suggest to upload to forum/images/STYLES EDIT: I figured it out... no one told me I had to make a folder "styles" in my images directory. lol I found several other skins that gave install directions and pieced it together. Thanks! |

just in case for the next time. Everytime you have to upload images to your directory, take a look first on the style --> Style Vars. In there you will see the directory the style is using for images.
I am glad you figured it out |
