Request: Thread Rating

I am really hoping that someone can whip together a hack that is set somewhere in postbit that allows users to rate the post from 1-5, and then displays their rating in postbit as well along with in their profile. Something like user rating, but just a simple drop down box that is displayed in the postbit.

I can give more detail if anyonet thinks they can pull this off.

Wouldn't that call a huge number of queries? I am guessing that each post would have a query added to it since they need to check the rating for each post. Thread ratings are already there, they are just at the top of the thread.

I don't want it to make anything like have the post bold or anything. I Just wanted a much simple hack of this: User Rating. Where you don't have to put in a reason or anything, just select the rating. And its not like it shows anything, it just displays the rating in the users profile as their average rating, and their postbit as their average.

And for the queries, it would just have to run a single querie each time someone tries to rate a thread to see if they already rated it or not. Is that so bad?
