Has anyone written any code to enable URLs like www.domain.com/user/username that point to www.domain.com/forums/member.php?u=x (where x is the userid for the user).

use .htaccess file, myspace rewrite has the file search for it, you can just change the file around to suite your needs....

I'm running IIS on a Windows 2003 Server so I'm using ISAPI Rewrite - I haven't yet managed to get it to work with ISAPI Rewrite.

I'm tying to get my head around how the .htaccess file is supposed to work so that I can try work out where I'm going wrong with ISAPI Rewrite.

Forget about the fact that I'm running Windows... I'm tying to get my head around how the .htaccess file is supposed to work so that I can try work out where I'm going wrong with ISAPI Rewrite.
