why when creating a signiture, no matter what font colour i choose it always ends up green?

Because they don't use font colors here but rather just the [ high][ /high] tags. They do this becuase of the number of different styles in use, as things won't show up on some styles.
BTW, it's red for me, but that's coz I'm using a different style to you. |
