Is there a hack to put a banner ad between the first and second post of every thread? If so, is it possible to exclude certain user groups from seeing it?

In 2009, you probably needed a hack. But if you're using a later iteration of vB3, then all you'd have to do is put your ad code in the ad_showthread_firstpost template.

The ad_templates were added to vB3, specifically, so you wouldn't have to do any editing or require any special plugins. The ad templates serve no purpose, otherwise. They don't require any file or code edits, either.

Hi Jedi, thanks for reply.
Sorry I'm seeing that I have answered in a thread of vb3, but I have vb4. The question was about the vb4. |
