Help: How do I redirect my home page to my forum

Hi,

How do I redirect my homepage to the forum ?


For example:

Currently my domain name points to index.html in the root directory
i.e. www.mydomain.com ====> www.mydomain.com/index.html

how can I force it go to www.mydomain.com/forums/

I assume I can do this with a .htaccess file but I don't know how

Any help would be much appreciated.

Please note that my site is on a shared drive so I can't update any PHP config files

Yep .htaccess

RewriteEngine On
Redirect /index.html http://www.mydomain.com/forums/

That should do it.

or create an index.php file containing this line ;
