How do I make a custom usercp field save in a diffrent table

Well I'm coding a hack that allows users to enable/disable there page and I figure it would be easy for users to turn it on and off if it was under options. I do have the page status saved in the user table and it works where you can change thrugh a SQL query to turn off the page.
