i promise you guys ive searched this and havn't found anything so please help!

im looking for a way to allow users to opt out of a certain forum..

so if they choose so, the forum is completely invisible to them..

can this be done?

This may sound extreme, but you can use vbplaza to "deny access to a forum" I dont know if they can use it on themselves though.

you mean the store thing? i dont like the idea of that..

i basically want to add a option to the user CP which would allow the user to opt out of a specific forum.
