This weekend, my site was moved to a dedicated server. Now, many of us are having a problem staying logged into the site. I tried clearing cookies and restarting my browser, but it is not helping. No mods were made at the same time as the move; so it has to be move related.

Yes. Didn't change cookie paths or anything either. It's not hitting everybody either - just some.

It stopped happening, but I don't remember what the fix was.

Same has just happened to me. There was some sort of server upgrade and now the problem occurs on my site, and a friend's site on the same server. It's not that we're not logged in, but when you logon you get the success page then you are redirected back to an unlogged-on forum home page. However when you then go and read a thread you are logged on....

Please upload tools.php from the 'do_not_upload' folder of your vBulletin distribution to your admincp directory. Now point your browser to admincp/tools.php.
Reset the cookie Domain and Path to the default values. Once your problem is fixed please remove tools.php again from the server. If this does not solve your problems, please clear your browser cookies and cache, restart your browser and try again. |
