question about a calander mod: multi day events

when I add a multi day event to my calander, it shows each day of the event on the calander at the "what's going on" part of the forum.

However, I would like to mod the calander so that multi day event are shown as in the example below;

test event: start date - end date

Does anyone know how to do this?
