Can't buy gifts for members that have "&" in their name... · **Released**: 03-10-2006

When buying someone a gift and they have a "&" charactor in their username, it says they don't exist..

So members that have that special charactor, can't buy gifts I guess..

I have noticed this as well. I have a few members that aren't getting gifts yet.

Will look around the threads and see if there is a fix......

Yeah, I'll try to come up with a fix for this..

I didn't see anything in the posts..

I did upgrade to vbplaza, and still the "&" bug remains..

Hmm, the & must be getting converted into & I'll do a quick check to see if this is the case... hold...

EDIT: Found the issue and it will be fixed in the next release.

If u have been to www.vbplaza.com u would see that v1.5.1 Beta 2 is currently running there, usually there only goes thru a couple beta's before release, so it could be later today or tomorrow barring no serious bugs found in the next 5 - 6 hours, it could be today!

Is it possible to maybe post how to fix it manually? I'm pretty good..

Plus it would save time tracking it down.

It should have been in v1.5.1

--- Bugfix: Any vbPlaza Options that require a username to be input will convert the 'HTML' characters properly.

Taken from the v1.5.1 Updates notes, inside of changes.txt now.

hmm.. Still a bug on my site.. That's odd..

I can give pm you a test account so you can see..

the user's name in peticular is "navy&orange"...

Did u reupload all of the files to the FTP? (Making sure they are overwriting.)

Specifically the folder vbplaza with all of the action.*.php files..

Reupload those files before I check it out.
