username style by gender (or other profile field)
My forum has a lot of interaction between guys and gals. I thought it would be handy to have the username be blue for men and pink for women. In forumhome, who's online, last post, postbit, etc.
I can go into the various templates and hardcode a conditional, but I'm sure there is a better way. Anyone care to take on the challenge of creating this hack? |

This is how I would do it...
There is a hack around here that adds members to a certain secondary group depending on what they pick in thier profile field upon registration. Create 2 new secondary usergroups, one for men and the other for women. Each usergroup can have its own customized name format, like blue or pink for the names. |

You can mess around with the settings so that the format for the secondary takes precendence.

I think that there has to be a better way. The problem is that I've got 13,000 members and the secondary usergroup by profile field hack only works at registration time.
What about a hack that changes username html based on a custom profile field? |
