Could anyone tell me how to mod my thread to make the thread look more like vbulletin.org type, like how the users info, images, rating are all neatly stacked on the left side with the message on the right?

thanks Andreas, maybe its my Phpbb side speacking, but itsnt there a way to open up my current template and make changes instead on installing the postbit_legacy template?

yes you can be able to open/edit the template for your current theme and edit templates and it will be updated to the database / cache where it will fall into affect immediately.
