Multiple-Selection profile field to dislpay each checkbox on it's own line?

As it stands now, when you create a custom profile field using the "Multiple-Selection" option, each option is placed one afer the other, which can cause messy and confusing dislpays.

I have a Multiple-Selection profile field with 15 selectable options. How can I change the display in the edit user properties page to show each selectable option on a different line?
