Default bypass rules page on registration

I tried searching but didn;t find this - maybe someone knows if it can be done and can point me in the right direction.

Basically, when a user clicks register I want them to go to the registration page directly. In the top of the registration page I have the checkbox that the user must click after reading the "Forum Rules" with the forum rules available in a popup. In essence, the user can simply check the box without even reading the rules...

DOes this make sense?

Thanks in advance...

change the link from "register.php?" to "register.php?do=register&agree=1".

This requires a hard code hack to either remove the check or add the variable as a GET/REQUEST option rather than post.

I just want to let you all know, seeing as they do not agree to the rules, you have nothing protecting your site. They did not agree, therefor they shall do what ever they like.

BUT, when they must click "accept", they AGREE to them, it does NOT matter if they dont read them, the fact is they agree.

That's an interesting legal analysis...

In any event there's absolutely nothing saying that someone can't be asked to agree to the rules even if they skip the vbulletin rules page. Many sites find the default registration cumbersome and detrimental to their conversion rates so they edit the templates for the data capture page and add a TOS link or box there.

Not sure this user wants to do that but it's definitely not unheard of to change the system around.
