You have not read the post. I do not use Words myself. These are from copy n paste by other people.

Your post does not mention "other people".

Simple answer, tell these other people not to copy/paste from word.

perhaps you could educate me on how to tell 9000+ members not to do so?
Common, you should know better that members are not really controllable.

how to educate all your members in a single shot... ANNOUNCEMENT...

why do we have to teach you how to contact your members Lionel, you know how it works... if you want to pass a message on your forums, make a global announcement, or post a NEWS, something that they will read when visiting the site...

the trash brought by MS Word can be cleaned out by a single thing: disable HTML...

Nexyalis, God bless you if announcement solves your problems all the times.
On the other hand I found a function that helps a little.

I seriously doubt 9000 of your members do this.

Anyway, you asked how we do it, I told you. Sorry if the answer doesn't suit.

Well actually this is not coming in from the members. I have a lyrics database with thousands of songs where I allowed the mods to do it, since it was not hurting anything.

But now I just made a "Song of the Day" hack in calendar that plays a different song everyday and, if that song has lyrics attached to it, it automatically displays it. Works nice except for those javascript error caused by MS Words.

I did find a function named crap cleaner which helps a little, but looks like everybody is going to have to resort to notepad and start editing. Sorry if I sounded annoyed.

if you'd be on a Mac, i would tell you to download BBEdit and download your table of lyrics... open it with BBEdit and use the function "Remove Markups"... a single click and VOIL?!...

btw, i suppose other code editors would have some feature like that...

btw, this question would have had a better display here:
