use a link in user profile field 'location'

i have a user i use to post news, i want to make his location show a link to the news forum i have. how do i do this...i tried just a plain a href tag but that didn't work.

also...this is sorta off topic...but is there a way to have this user be an admin but not show in the 'forum leaders' page?
