Xbox Live Gamertags?

After a month long wait, I should hopefully be having my 360 delivered on tuesday (damn bank holidays!).

I've already got my 12 month pre-paid Xbox Live Gold Subscription, so I'm all set for some online gaming, and I thought it would be pretty cool to play against some fellow "vborgers". So post your XBL tag already.!

I have heard nothing but horrible about online for the 360. I read a lot of complaints about call of duty 2 where only 1 of 4 games run smooth.


Of course I am having worse problems with age of empires 3 for pc. I think companies are just getting cheap on the server end or coders dont know how to optimize these progs.

Games on the xbox 360 on xbox live seem far more enjoyable than on the original xbox. As not many people have 360 and most seem pretty respectable on there. Always willing to help if you dont understand how to use things, always willing to show you parts of the game you dont know yet. And is generaly the best way to build your friends list up early which is what im doing.

On the original xbox there is soooooo many people online with it, its hard to enjoy it to one extent. Example is halo 2.

You will have people who are certain they are better than you, and their whole life depends on that one game. If you do something to annoy them or take something they want, they WILL kill you, and ruin the whole experience for you. So in simple terms its hard to single out the asses from the good people.

Also nicely on xbox 360 xbox live, if someone annoys you on line, you can select not to play them, and when matchmaking again, you wont be in the same game as then. Or you can do the total opposite and request to usualy get matched with them

Can you play with a specific person every time if you want? I heard something about not being able to. Me and a bud were going to get one?

If they are on your xbox live friend list, then you can always play with them, as you simply create a party in which you both go around playing games in.
