Help with Posting Thread Info
I am looking for a script (php or javascript) to put on my home page that will display a list of the 5 or so most recent posts on my board (The board in a sub section of the entire website). The links should have the title, date, member name, and that is about it.
Basicly I want it to look like the "Niner Talk" section, on the left had side of http://www.49erswebzone.com I tried my best to search for this as I know its used in many places, just not very good at searching through boards yet, FYI I am a nubie to Vboard. Thanks for any help |

sheesh, tough crowd. Well when you can't answer, trash the person.
Uptownranger, I'm new to vB as well, and the community here is awful compared to the community at phpbb, I am sorry I can not help you with your question. If you can find a coder for a Portal type program, they will be able to answer your question I am sure. |

You could utilize the RSS or other External Data Provider options built into vB.
Check out the online manual and look for the "External Data Provider" and "Implementing the External Data Provider" sections. You could probably accomplish what you are looking to do with that. |
