vbCustom
Ok, so I've been messing around in the MEMBERINFO template and the Custom Fields section, and have done some pretty interesting profile enhancements, that allow users to customize their profiles using CSS. I am also thinking this is possible to do in the POSTBIT/LEGACY templates, where the user can input some css styles and their postbits come up as a custom display (including font colors, font face, background colors etc..).
What I would like to see is a modification that added a vbCustom page in the USERCP, that had "Customize Profile" & "Customize Posts". I have allowed a Custom Field for CSS input, but I am a little leary about doing this, as it is fairly simple to use CSS to hide all advertising, navigation etc... on your main theme for the entire page. So, I would suggest that if someone works this modification out, to only allow drop menu values, HEX color codes and image URL inputs (if you can limit user input somehow in the different fields). Anyhow, alot of people love the profile customization, and I'm sure it would be a big hit with custom postbits. -TP |
